Robert D. Frieman, MD - Psychiatrist

Dr. Robert Frieman has a private Psychiatry practice in Washington, DC. He served as a Staff Psychiatrist with the Howard County General Hospital Psychiatry Department. Dr. Robert Frieman also taught Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

A graduate of the University of California Berkley, Dr. Frieman holds a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology. Before Medical School, he worked for the California Heart Association as a Research Associate in Cardiac Surgery at the University of California San Francisco. He also attended Medical School at the University of California San Francisco while also working in Pharmacology and completed a Rotating Internship at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. From California, he relocated to Maryland for a Psychiatry Fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a Psychiatric Residency at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He was in the US Public Health Service helping Maryland with several Medical Programs. He was on a Joint Panel of the American Psychiatric
Association and the Social Security Administration to upgrade the SSA's Disability Determination system.
To stay current he is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Member of theAmerican Psychoanalytic Association and the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis.
